Argh, I've missed posting about another "milestone"of my life! Ah well, better late then never.
November 10 - AFA 2012 Day 1(or 2 technically)
The first day of AFA that is open for the public. Well this year I went together with my cousin, Len, in the morning. We went to the expo to locate the location of the hall since I was not familliar where it was and we spent about 30mins walking in the wrong direction before we realised it and walk back and event though we were half an hour early before the opening it was already flooded with people waiting for the door to open.
When the doors finally opened we walked around looking at what they have on sale. After awhile, I recieved a call from the Hikari and we met up with her and her sister. Since she was cosplay we spent quite a fair bit of time just following them around since we wanted to wait for the cosplay competition which was at 6++.
It was interesting walking around the convention with a cosplaying since this was my first time knowing the cosplayer in person and it was awesome!
Oh and on the side note somehow Len decided to cosplay as well, maybe he'll do it next year, we'l have to see how it goes!
November 11 - AFA 2012 Day 2 (or 3 techically)
Muahahahaha! Finally its my cosplay dabut!
Most of the Mirai Nikki group ( 1st, 3rd[me], 4th, 12th) met at the mrt station before taking a bus to 9th's home where we met Anna who was cosplaying Anna Kushina from K (anime). We sat around and prepared our own cosplays (some had to put on contacts while I somehow ended up sowing buttons onto 1st's jacket) and we left for expo with 9th's mother giving us a lift there (thank you!).
As we arrived at the taxi stand, we quickly grabbed our things and head into the air-conditioned area to put full costumes on ( we had partially wore part of our costume at 9th's house) and in the blink of an eye we were all dressed and cameras were pointed at us. I have to say, for a person who usually avoids cameras and is mostly behind them instead of in front of them, it feels awesome! Well, guess I'm going to be cosplaying again, I've even got some cosplay already planned out, all I have to see is if my wallet and time allows me to do so.
We met some of our seniors and chatted for awhile before heading towards the Expo hall to find a place to put our stuff down and luckily there was another group from NYP also there and they had somone looking after their stuff so we left ours with them and wondered around for abit before heading to the grass area outside the exit for the 'photoshoot'. We spent the rest of the time playing wondering around buying items and mingling around with other cosplayers(well, the other members anyway, I don't really know other coplayers).
Overall I had TONS of fun cosplaying and the group I was in is awesome, although there were some issues thankfully they were resolved(?) without too much trouble later on. We're planning another photoshoot this time with the 2 missing members which should take place whenever we are able to comfirm it.
November 27 - Meeting with Heath
During the last module of the day, Terina (he is a guy he is also 1st from above) suddenly asked me if I wanted to go to Lassalle to meet up with Heath to make his delflinger ( Saito's sword in Zero no Tsukaima - its an anime for those who are unsure what it is.) I immediatly responed yes since I really wanted to learn how the professionals made their prop weapons and so immediatly after lesson we left for Bugis mrt station. Lassalle is a pretty ineresting building, the whole building seems to be split up into 4 blocks(at least thats how it seems from the area I've seen which is most likely not the whole building.) with each blocks' walls basically made of glass which means we could see everything inside.
We met up with Heath in the middle of all the blocks which was a large grassy area where Terina made his sword until about 10pm or so? (I'll update this later on.)
Cosplay plans!
Several cosplays that I want to do and am currently planning them:
Kinji Tohyama - Hidan no Aria (Currently its at the top of my list - hopefully I can find a Aria!)
Yuji Sakai - Shakugan no Shana (It sprang into my list when I decided I wanted to make his sword.)
Io Otonashi - Acchi Kocchi (One of my wanted to do a group cosplay for this so I obliged.)
Kaito - Vocaloid (Well Len wants to cosplay as Len so if I am able to get a small group of vocaloid cosplayers I'll probably do one as well - trying to get more family members to cosplay Muahahaha!)
Ezio Auditore - Assassin's Creed II (I really liked his double hidden blades and I'm sorta in the process of making a pair now so why not cosplay as him?)
Julio Cesare or Bidalsha-Vidalsha - Zero no Tsukaima ( I really like the anime and since there is a group planning to cosplay they I might as well take part in it as well!)
Well, thats about it right now, theres quite a few but the list might change I'll just have to see how it goes.
